As an outbound telephone-based role, the role of the Business Development Representative (BDR) is pivotal to the revenue growth and strategic expansion of our business in key market segments. Their objectives will be to contact SMB, commercial and enterprise organisations across a variety of vertical sectors, establishing key IT decision maker contacts and influencers, to identify new business opportunities.

This role requires a professional and enthusiastic individual capable of profiling and questioning customers to gather key information. This role will be split between inbound response follow up/event follow up and on targeted outbound calling.

Key activities:

  • Generate new BANT (Budget, Authority, Need, Timescale criteria) qualified leads
  • Outbound calling - driven by marketing campaigns/promotions
  • Inbound - Process inbound responses lead queue
  • Follow up emails to customer requesting more info
  • Lead management
  • Ensure that leads are entered in the CRM system and correctly assigned
  • Check qualified leads are progressed with sales
  • Ensure that leads flagged for nurture are recycled appropriately
  • Profiling
  • Delving into account list for increasing contacts (primary) and deal identification where possible (secondary)
  • Event Confidence Calling
  • Follow up on registration as to events to drive attendance
  • Target Achievement, Lead Generation, Sales and Conversion Rate
  • Work closely with the Sales teams to grow revenue and ensure marketing generated pipeline targets are achieved.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 1 year's tele-marketing outbound/inbound experience, preferably targeting the IT or Technology industry
  • Good understanding of IT market
  • Good understanding of IT technologies, especially IT infrastructure, cloud, and big data
  • Focusing on call volumes, no need for complex understanding, focusing on simple campaigns
  • Fluency in English and native language speaker of target market
  • Experience in CRM / Databases / Digital Selling Tools
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, Internet navigation and contact management software
  • Experience in multi-level negotiations up to C-level and executive clients
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and listening skills
  • Must have language competency in written form and dialogue in the required language(s)
