Gillingham, Kent

£20.50 per hour. Fixed term contract. Rotating shifts - Mornings, afternoons and nights. Weekends - Double time.

Robertson Recruitment are working with an established manufacturer in Kent and are seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join its production team on a fixed term contract. Please note that the client is happy taking people on just for the weekend work (Saturday/Sunday). You will still get double time for this.

The Role

  • As an Injection Moulding Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of injection moulding machinery, maintaining product quality standards and supporting continuous improvement activities across the production facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set, operate and optimise injection moulding machines.
  • Carry out tool changes and machine start-ups.
  • Troubleshoot process and machine issues to minimise downtime.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure products meet required specifications.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and inspections.
  • Work closely with production, quality and engineering teams.
  • Support continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

About You

  • To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within an injection moulding manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and machine setting.
  • Experience carrying out tool changes and process optimisation.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults.
  • Understanding of quality standards and manufacturing best practices.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
