Job Summary:
As a Field Specialist Trainee you'll receive comprehensive training in drilling technology, downhole telemetry systems, data acquisition, troubleshooting, and customer service. Working alongside experienced Field Specialists, you'll gain hands-on experience operating and maintaining specialised equipment while supporting drilling operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop technical expertise, solve complex operational challenges, and build a career as a trusted on-site technical specialist within the energy industry.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop the technical knowledge and operational skills required to support Measurement While Drilling (MWD) services.
Build expertise in MWD tools, downhole telemetry systems, data acquisition, and equipment troubleshooting.
Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of drilling operations in line with programme objectives and client requirements.
Support the deployment, operation, maintenance, and testing of MWD equipment at the wellsite.
Monitor and deliver accurate real-time drilling and formation data to customers and the wider drilling team.
Essential Requirements:
A modern apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent qualification in a technical field
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to think methodically
Ability to work well under pressure and without supervision
