The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedForklift Engineerto join a well-established business maintaining its own fleet of specialist forklifts.
This is a workshop-based role where you'll take ownership of the maintenance, servicing and repair of a modern fleet, working closely with the operations team to ensure maximum uptime across the business.
The Role
Service, repair and maintain a fleet of side loader forklifts
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections
Ensure all equipment is maintained to a safe and reliable standard
Manage workshop stock and order replacement parts when required
Complete maintenance records accurately
Liaise with operational teams to minimise downtime
Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop
About You
You'll ideally have experience working on forklifts, plant machinery or similar mobile equipment.
You'll have:
Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing forklifts, plant or material handling equipment
Strong mechanical, hydraulic and basic electrical fault-finding skills
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
Good organisational and communication skills
A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving
A full UK driving licence
A forklift licence would be advantageous but isn't essential.
