Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to help grow their customer base and develop long-lasting commercial partnerships.
Location: Folkestone, Kent The Role As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, generating revenue, and promoting a full range of logistics solutions, including road, sea, air, courier, warehousing, and customs services.
You'll be responsible for developing new business while maintaining excellent relationships with your customers, ensuring they receive outstanding service throughout their journey.
Key Duties Identify and secure new business opportunities across a range of logistics services.
Generate new sales leads through networking, referrals, prospecting, and client meetings.
Develop tailored logistics solutions that meet customers' individual requirements.
Build strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.
Work closely with the operations team to ensure customers receive a first class service from enquiry through to delivery.
Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activity to support business growth.
Consistently work towards and exceed agreed sales targets.
A welcoming, supportive, and social team environment with opportunities for career progression.
Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, and maximise profitability across all accounts.
Regularly visit customers and prospects to strengthen relationships and identify further opportunities.
About You Previous sales or business development experience within freight forwarding or logistics (essential).
A successful track record of winning new business within air, sea, or road freight.
Confidence in building relationships with customers at all levels.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
A proactive and self-motivated approach with the drive to achieve and exceed targets.
A good understanding of UK and international transport and supply chain solutions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
The ability to manage your own workload while working collaboratively within a team.
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
A positive, professional attitude and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
