Due to continued company growth, our client is seeking a hardworking Fire Damper Engineer to join their growing outfit. They are specialists within the Ventilation and Fire Safety industry, who have a national presence and varied portfolio of commercial, industrial and food/beverage client accounts.

On a daily basis, you will be inspecting, testing and performing remedial works on existing fire dampers, ensuring to adhere to safety guidelines and personal targets. The successful candidate can expect excellent further development prospects, into supervisory and management positions. We can consider candidates from a variety of locations, provided you are happy to travel as required. Salaries and benefits are competitive.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience working as a Fire Damper Engineer
  • Ideally will hold industry-related tickets, including: NVQ Level 5 Fire and Smoke Damper
  • Good working knowledge of BS9999 guidelines
  • Flexible to travel in line with company needs
  • Good literacy and numeracy proficiency level
  • Confident using IT software

The Role:

  • Inspecting existing fire dampers
  • Testing of fire dampers to ensure compliance
  • Logging fire dampers
  • Conducting remedial works, including: collar, link and TEK screw changes
  • Fitting access panels
  • Highlighting any system faults and recommending works
  • Providing technical advice and project updates to clients
  • Updating site logbooks
