We are recruiting an Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering business specialising in the installation, maintenance and refurbishment of FMCGequipment.
This is a varied role combining service, fault finding, installation and commissioning work across a broad range of machinery.

The Role
You will work both independently and alongside a team of engineers carrying out:
Installation and commissioning of new and refurbished equipment
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Reactive breakdown support and fault finding
Mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs
Equipment refurbishment and relocation projects
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement activities
Typical Duties
Electrical fault finding on 24V and 3-phase systems
PLC fault finding and diagnostics
Control panel assembly and wiring
Fixed wiring installations and modifications
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
Hydraulic fault finding and repair
Mechanical strip down and rebuild of equipment
Installation and commissioning at customer sites
Providing telephone and on-site technical support
What We're Looking For
Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering
16th, 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
PLC knowledge and fault-finding capability
Ability to work independently and make decisions on-site
Strong problem-solving and Root Cause Analysis skills
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel nationally and stay away when required
The Working Pattern
This is a field-based role covering the UK, Ireland and occasional European sites.
The position includes:
Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
Regular overtime opportunities
On-call rota of 1 week in 5
National travel
Overnight stays, occasionally up to 7 consecutive nights
Occasional night and weekend working depending on customer requirements
Package & Benefits
£40,000 - £45,000 basic salary
Realistic OTE of £60,000 - £70,000+
