Salary: £58,000 to £63,000 per annum, plus 8% bonus, vehicle/car allowance (£550 per month) and benefits (private health care, life assurance, pension etc).

Company: We are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity on behalf of a reputable and global brand manufacturing company who are looking for an Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager to head up a busy department within their fast moving production manufacturing environment.
We are seeking someone who can hold their own that wants to make a real difference and impact, to bring change and improvements to the department and deliver results.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting into the Factory Manager, you will oversee and control the Engineering Department on-site with a team of approximately 20 Engineers.
- Head up and oversee a Maintenance Department and Team of Engineers, including Maintenance Supervisors and Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
- Effectively manage maintenance activities (planned and unplanned), utilising operational excellence and continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Manage CMMS System and its continued integration and development, providing encouragement and buy-in from the Engineers.
- Drive and implement continuous improvements within the maintenance team to maximise efficiency within the Maintenance department.
- Manage a budget up to £1M and CAPEX.
- Map out and coordinate projects and planned shut-downs throughout the year.
- The collation, analysis and reporting of engineering, OEE, cost and process data, in support of key targets and objectives.
- Assist in the ongoing strategic plan of the factory.
- Take an active role in increasing standards of safety and quality across the business, through highlighting hazards and making improvements in equipment and/or procedures.
- People management activities for a team of Engineers including recruitment, holidays, absence management, appraisals etc.
- Work closely with the production department to help plant deliver productivity goals.
Requirements:
- Qualified in Engineering, holding qualifications in any discipline, either electrical OR mechanical. Ideally someone who has completed an Apprenticeship and worked their way up.
- Engineering Management or Maintenance Management background, specifically overseeing a department and team of Maintenance Engineers within a similar field Manufacturing / Industrial / Production.
- Has managed CAPEX Projects, CMMS (computerised Maintenance Management System) and Budgets essential.
- Must have exceptional people management skills including coaching, mentoring, supporting, praising and recognition approach.
