Customs Brokerage Coordinator

Hours: Monday to Friday | 09:00 - 17:30 Salary: Up to £39,000 (depending on experience) The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Customs Brokerage Coordinator to join a growing customs team.

This role is primarily focused on road freight import customs clearances, with some involvement in ocean freight.

You'll be responsible for managing import declarations from start to finish, ensuring compliance with HMRC and Border Force regulations while delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities Complete import customs declarations, primarily for road freight, with some ocean freight shipments.

Process CDS declarations using ASM Sequoia.

Submit and manage IPAFFS notifications where required.

Review commercial invoices, packing lists and shipping documentation for accuracy.

Apply the correct tariff codes, customs procedures, valuation and origin requirements.

Liaise with customers, hauliers, ports, carriers and government authorities to ensure timely customs clearance.

Monitor shipments, resolving customs queries and delays efficiently.

Maintain accurate customs records in line with HMRC compliance standards.

Stay up to date with changes in customs legislation and import procedures.

Provide proactive updates and excellent customer service throughout the clearance process.

What We're Looking For Previous experience within a UK customs brokerage environment.

Strong knowledge of UK import customs regulations and procedures.

Experience handling road freight import customs entries.

Exposure to ocean freight import clearances.

Proficiency using ASM Sequoia for CDS declarations.

Working knowledge of IPAFFS.

Excellent understanding of customs documentation and compliance.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
