I'm supporting a major programme, who are looking for an experienced Snowflake Platform Architect to lead the design, setup, and implementation of their Snowflake platform. This is a true platform architecture opportunity for someone who has been responsible for introducing and establishing Snowflake within an organisation, rather than working solely as a Data Engineer using an existing platform. The successful consultant will have experience building out Snowflake from the ground up, defining platform standards, governance, security, and operating models, enabling engineering teams to successfully leverage the environment moving forward.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience architecting and implementing Snowflake platforms from inception
  • Experience leading Snowflake adoption and platform setup within large organisations
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, governance, security, networking, and operational best practices
  • Experience designing scalable data platforms that enable Data Engineering teams to build and consume data products
  • Demonstrable experience establishing Snowflake operating models, standards, and platform frameworks
  • Snowflake certifications/accreditations highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience working across cloud-based data ecosystems and modern data platforms
  • Experience within Government, Public Sector, or highly regulated environments would be beneficial

What's in it for you?

  • £650-£750 per day Inside or Outside
  • Initial contract with strong extension potential
