The Role
They are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join a dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, ensuring the smooth operation of their designated section within the kitchen. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications and quality standards
- Oversee the daily operations of your designated kitchen section
- Assist with the development of new recipes and menu items by contributing creative ideas
- Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory management to help minimise waste
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained correctly and report any issues promptly
- Support the training and development of junior team members
Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a professional kitchen environment
- Previous restaurant experience with knowledge of a variety of cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Passion for culinary excellence and high standards of food presentation
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- This is not a live-in position
Desirable
- Formal culinary training or relevant catering qualifications
- Experience supporting the development of menus and new dishes
