Millison Chase Limited Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced HGV C+E Class 1 Drivers for ongoing day shift fresh produce distribution work across the UK. We are looking for reliable and professional Class 1 Drivers to carry out temperature-controlled deliveries of fresh produce from packaging and processing facilities to RDC, NDC, and CDC locations nationwide.

This role involves transporting palletised fresh produce safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of professionalism, compliance, and customer service. Drivers can expect a mixture of local and nationwide routes, typically involving between 1 and 3 deliveries or collections per shift depending on route allocation and operational requirements. The work is predominantly day driving with regular start times and ongoing full-time shifts available. Some shifts may be long, all completed within driver hours legislation and tachograph regulations. Pay Progression

  • Monday to Friday Days: £16.00 per hour
  • Weekends: Up to £19.00 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Delivering fresh produce to RDC, NDC, and CDC locations nationwide
  • Transporting temperature-controlled palletised goods safely and efficiently
  • Completing between 1 and 3 deliveries or collections per shift
  • Carrying out vehicle and trailer safety checks before departure
  • Ensuring all transport paperwork is completed accurately
  • Following all drivers hours and tachograph regulations
  • Maintaining temperature control and load security standards
  • Operating vehicles safely and professionally at all times
  • Maintaining excellent customer service standards
  • Communicating effectively with transport teams and delivery locations

Requirements

  • Valid UK HGV C+E (Class 1) Licence
  • Valid Driver CPC Card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience (for insurance purposes)
  • Good communication and timekeeping skills
