Camfaud Concrete Pumps Limited is a leading provider of concrete pumping equipment, serving customers across the UK and internationally. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service, high-quality machinery, and innovative solutions that keep projects moving. We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team and take ownership of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Debtors Analysis including weekly/monthly reporting of debt with explanations.
- Providing bad debt provision at month-end with supporting workings.
- Liaising with all departments when accounts on hold/stop.
- Chasing customers for payment - Credit and Cash Customers.
- Liaising internally and externally to resolve all pricing queries/discrepancies on customer accounts.
- Liaising with sales team to manage customer credit limits, preparing and circulating customer limits and balance weekly.
- Liaising with shipping department and agreeing release of pumps.
- Maintaining accurate and up to date customer details and account records contact names, email addresses etc.
- Allocating payments to customer accounts - Ensuring all customer payment and credit note allocations are correct on the customer account.
- Overseeing the bank reconciliations and supporting with any variances.
- Review of the Monthly Top Service Report.
- Continuously reviewing the credit control processes for efficiencies whilst ensuring that our internal controls are met.
- Setting up new customers and working with commercial director on allocation of credit limits.
- Any other duties as requested by your line manager which may include interdepartmental working within finance.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Credit Controller role.
- Strong understanding of credit control processes and best practice.
- Confident, professional communication skills (phone & email).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organised and able to prioritise a busy workload.
- Comfortable using finance systems and Excel and a quick learner.
- Ability to build strong relationships with team members both inside and outside department.
- Customer focused.
- 3+ years of experience in a credit control role.
Preferable
- Sage 300 knowledge.
