BASIC SALARY: £48,000

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As our Engineering Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable and ready to deliver excellent service every day. You'll be responsible for leading and supporting our workshop team, helping maintain the highest standards of vehicle maintenance, safety and compliance while ensuring our customers can depend on us.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising the maintenance, servicing and repair of our bus fleet
  • Leading a team of engineers, electricians and body repairers
  • Planning shifts and supporting on-call arrangements
  • Driving high standards of vehicle reliability and presentation
  • Ensuring vehicles consistently exceed DVSA standards
  • Supporting a strong MOT pass rate and engineering performance
  • Monitoring engineering budgets and resources

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent leadership skills. You'll ideally have:

  • A Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent City & Guilds qualifications
  • A full driving licence
  • Experience working within a vehicle maintenance environment
  • The confidence to lead, motivate and support a team
  • Experience with buses or coaches (desirable)
  • A PCV licence, or the willingness and ability to obtain one
