We are looking for an experienced FRA Project Manager to join an established and operational fire safety remediation programme.
This role focuses specifically on Fire Door Remedial Actions arising from Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), managing the delivery of new works packages across sites in London.
You will join a project that is already up and running, taking ownership of new works as they come in, ensuring they progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.
You will work in the office closely with the current Contract Manager and be supported by a team of Project Coordinators, forming part of a collaborative operational structure focused on compliance, quality, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities Take ownership of new Fire Door remedial works packages as they are received, from initial instruction through to completion and close-out.
Plan, coordinate, and manage the day-to-day delivery of fire door remedial actions identified through Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs).
Work closely with the Contract Manager to align new works with overall programme and contract objectives.
Manage and support a team of Project Coordinators, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring accountability.
Liaise with clients, building owners, and managing agents to schedule access, provide progress updates, and resolve queries.
Coordinate subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure works are carried out to specification, on time, and within budget.
Monitor and track project progress using internal systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of remedial works status.
Ensure all works are compliant with relevant fire safety legislation, British Standards, and industry best practice (e. g.
BS 8214, Building Safety Act requirements).
Conduct or arrange site visits to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance.
Identify and manage risks, delays, or issues affecting project delivery, escalating to the Contract Manager where necessary.
Support the production of reports, certification, and close-out documentation for completed works.
Ensure all works are carried out safely, in line with health & safety regulations and company policy.
Assist with resource planning and forecasting for upcoming works.
About You Proven experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator within fire safety, passive fire protection, or fire door remedial works.
Strong working knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and associated remedial action processes.
Understanding of fire door regulations and standards (e. g.
BS 8214, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Act, Building Safety Act).
Experience managing multiple live projects/works packages simultaneously.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Experience managing or supporting junior team members (e. g.
Project Coordinators).
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across London.
