We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a busy, quality-focused British restaurant in North London.

Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will help lead the kitchen team and ensure consistently high standards of food, service and hygiene.

The role:

  • Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Lead and motivate the brigade during busy services
  • Prepare and cook high-quality modern British dishes
  • Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and consistency
  • Assist with menu development and seasonal specials
  • Monitor stock, ordering and food wastage
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained
  • Train and support junior members of the kitchen team

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef, Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie
  • Solid knowledge of British and seasonal cuisine
  • Confident running a section and supporting a busy service
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Passionate about quality food and high standards
  • Calm and organised under pressure
  • Food hygiene qualification and a good understanding of kitchen health & safety
