We are recruiting for a Senior Hardware Engineer to join an established engineering team developing complex electronic systems and high-performance hardware products.

This is a hands-on electronics design role covering the full product development lifecycle, from system requirements and board-level design through development, verification, testing, troubleshooting and manufacturing introduction.

Key responsibilities: Design high-speed digital electronics and support analogue circuit simulation.

Develop multilayer PCB designs, layouts and signal integrity solutions.

Produce schematics and PCB designs using CAD tools such as Altium or Or CAD.

Translate system requirements into robust board-level hardware designs.

Perform hardware test, verification and validation of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Write test specifications, circuit descriptions and technical reports.

Support FPGA-based hardware using VHDL and Embedded C where required.

Use MATLAB and scripting to configure, test and verify software-intensive hardware designs.

Interface with RF systems and support associated hardware configuration.

Participate in design reviews, configuration control and technical risk management.

Support manufacturing, product introduction, troubleshooting and component obsolescence management.

Required experience: Strong electronic hardware design or electronics engineering background.

High-speed digital design and multilayer PCB experience.

Signal integrity knowledge.

CAD experience for schematic capture, PCB design, layout or simulation.

Hardware verification, validation and test experience.

Experience delivering high-quality electronic designs to schedule and budget.

Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience with Altium, Or CAD, FPGA, VHDL, Embedded C, MATLAB, RF, radar systems or Silicon Expert would be advantageous.

Occasional UK travel may be required.
