Hirecracker Education are working with a supportive and nurturing primary school in Ellesmere Port. We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Learning Mentor to provide targeted support to pupils, helping them develop positive behaviour, social skills, and resilience in the classroom and beyond.
This role provides an outstanding opportunity to develop your skills and experience within an educational setting, offering access to professional development, training, and mentoring. You will play a pivotal role in supporting children's learning, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing, making a tangible difference to their school experience and helping them to build confidence, resilience, and positive relationships that will benefit them throughout their educational journey and beyond.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting pupils to manage behaviour and stay engaged in learning
- Working closely with class teachers to implement strategies for individual pupils
- Promoting inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs or challenges
- Helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and positive relationships within school
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in school, youth work, care, mental health, or community settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt your approach to suit different needs
- Patience, empathy and resilience when supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
