Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer
An innovative engineering company based in Hertfordshire is looking to add an Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer to its growing team. Chroma are supporting the search to help meet increasing demand across a range of bespoke electronic products, control systems and technical projects within a highly creative industry. The company develops custom electronics and software solutions for unique, project-driven applications, offering engineers the chance to work on varied and unusual challenges.
This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from concept and electronic design through to embedded software development, manufacturing, testing and installation. It's a fantastic opportunity for an Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer who enjoys hands-on engineering and wants to work on technically interesting projects where no two assignments are the same.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics design and embedded software development, with experience working on microcontroller-based systems and PCB design. Candidates who enjoy a practical, workshop-based environment and seeing their designs through to completion will be particularly well suited to the role.
Electronics & Embedded Software Engineer Requirements:
Experience designing analogue and digital electronic circuits
PCB design and schematic capture experience
Embedded C and/or C++ programming for microcontrollers
Experience debugging and testing embedded systems
Understanding of EMC principles and compliance requirements
Experience with communication protocols such as DMX512, RDM or sACN would be advantageous
Degree, HNC or HND in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
This is a predominantly office and workshop-based position in Hertfordshire, offering the opportunity to work on bespoke projects spanning electronics, software, manufacturing and system integration within a collaborative engineering team.
