This company is a specialist in high-voltage infrastructure, delivering installation, refurbishment, and commissioning projects nationwide. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Electrical Fitter to strengthen their installation team.

In this role, you will carry out the installation, wiring, testing, and commissioning support of AIS and GIS substation equipment up to 132kV. You will install control panels, protection systems, secondary wiring, marshalling kiosks, and associated electrical equipment, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The role involves nationwide travel and regular overnight stays, with all accommodation and expenses covered.

This role would suit an Electrical Fitter with experience in substations, switchgear, industrial electrical installations, power generation, or similar environments, who is looking for long-term career development within the high-voltage sector.

The Role:
  • Install and wire AIS and GIS substation equipment up to 132kV
  • Install control panels, protection systems, marshalling kiosks, and secondary wiring
  • Carry out cable glanding, termination, containment, and electrical testing
  • Support commissioning and energisation activities alongside engineering teams
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety procedures and project specifications
  • Travel to customer sites nationwide with regular overnight stays
The Person:
  • Electrical Fitter or Industrial Electrician with experience in substations, switchgear, power generation, or industrial installations
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
  • Comfortable travelling nationwide and staying away during the working week
  • Full UK Driving Licence
