Buckingham Futures is recruiting on behalf of a well-established private sector safety consultancy who are looking to appoint Food Safety/Health & Safety Consultants on both a permanent and contract basis across the following regions:

  • London
  • South Coast of England, including Devon and Cornwall
  • North East England
  • Midlands

The Role

This is a field-based position working across a broad range of client sites including restaurants, hotels and catering establishments. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting third party food safety and health & safety audits, delivering coaching in best practice hygiene standards, producing detailed audit reports with corrective and preventative actions, and maintaining ongoing CPD. Private sector consultancy offers a different pace and variety to local authority work. You will be covering multiple sites and sectors, working with both independent operators and large hospitality brands, with the autonomy that comes with a field-based role.

What They Are Looking For:

  • BSc (Hons) or MSc in Environmental Health (accredited degree)
  • Registered EHO
  • Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH Level 4 General Certificate or equivalent (this is highly desirable and will strengthen your application considerably)
  • Strong audit, report writing, presentation and risk assessment skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
  • Right to work in the UK

Both full-time and part-time appointments are available, with permanent and contract options depending on location.
