We're recruiting a reliable driver to operate specialist vehicles and support customers across commercial, industrial and environmental sites. This is a varied, hands-on position offering the opportunity to build valuable technical skills while working with a supportive and experienced team.
About the Client:
We're supporting an established UK organisation providing specialist environmental and industrial services to customers across a broad range of sectors. The business offers a stable working environment, modern equipment and ongoing training, with opportunities to develop within a growing national operation.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Driving and operating HGV Class 2 specialist vehicles
- Travelling to customer sites to complete scheduled and reactive work
- Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment safety checks
- Supporting the safe collection, transportation and disposal of materials
- Operating specialist equipment following full training
- Completing driver paperwork and electronic job records accurately
- Following all health, safety and environmental procedures
- Providing a professional service when dealing with customers
- Keeping vehicles and equipment clean, safe and well maintained
- Reporting vehicle defects or operational issues promptly
- Supporting colleagues with additional site-based duties when required
- Working overtime and participating in call-outs where needed
What We Need From You:
- Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Safe and responsible approach to driving
- Strong awareness of vehicle and site safety
- Reliable, flexible and willing to learn
- Comfortable completing practical, hands-on duties
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional approach when working on customer sites
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Willingness to work additional hours when required
- Right to work in the UK
Previous experience within waste management, drainage, industrial services, environmental services or specialist vehicle operations would be useful but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
