The practice operates using modern digital dental technology and provides a professional environment for trainee dental nurses looking to gain practical experience within general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, orthodontics, dental therapy, hygiene appointments, restorative dentistry, emergency dentistry, paediatric dentistry, domiciliary care, infection control and day-to-day dental practice operations.
The Role: We are currently seeking a Trainee Dental Nurse who is passionate about dental care and patient wellbeing. Whether you're new to the dental field or looking to start your journey, no previous experience is required and full training will be provided. You'll benefit from close mentorship and hands-on training from highly experienced dental professionals. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing surgeries before patient appointments.
- Chairside support for dentists, hygienists and therapists during treatment.
- Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
- Following cross-infection control and health and safety procedures.
- Supporting patients throughout their visit.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and carrying out general administrative duties.
- Assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
- Developing your clinical knowledge through practical experience and ongoing training.
What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate will be:
- Enrolled on, or planning to enrol on, the NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing (proof of enrolment required).
- Eligible to work in the UK and in possession of a National Insurance number.
- Vaccinated against Hepatitis B (First dose).
- Enthusiastic with a proactive approach to learning.
- Confident communicating with patients and colleagues.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems.
