We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join a busy school catering team in Eastbourne on an ongoing temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef looking for a great work-life balance, with daytime hours and no evening or weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Head Chef in the preparation and service of nutritious, high-quality meals
  • Assisting with menu preparation and daily food production
  • Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Supervising kitchen staff when required
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a high-volume catering environment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate is essential
  • Reliability and excellent teamwork skills
