Hedley Visick is a well established plumbing and heating company based in Eastbourne, delivering both domestic and commercial plumbing and heating services across Eastbourne, Hastings, Brighton and the surrounding areas.
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Domestic/Commercial Gas Service Engineer to join our team.
The Role
This role is primarily focused on boiler servicing, maintenance, fault finding and basic plumbing repairs.
You will be working on a mixture of social housing contracts as well as for domestic/commercial clients carrying out annual gas safety inspections, planned servicing, responsive breakdowns and heating repairs.
Key Responsibilities
Annual servicing of domestic and Commercial boilers including landlord Gas safety certificates
Carry out reactive boiler maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
Service and repair vented and unvented hot water cylinders.
Undertake minor plumbing repairs such as replacing taps
Accurately complete job reports, certificates and documentation using our job management system.
Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Deliver a high standard of customer service and workmanship at all times.
Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone who has:
Current Gas Safe Registration and qualifications including - CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1.
Proven experience servicing, maintaining and repairing domestic gas heating systems.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workloads efficiently.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A positive, reliable and professional attitude.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
The following would be advantageous but are not essential:
Commercial Qualifications
LPG qualifications.
Oil qualifications.
Experience with renewable heating technologies.
On-Call Rota
As part of the role engineers participate in our emergency out-of-hours on-call rota, typically one week in every six.
Additional payment is provided for on-call cover together with payment for any call-outs attended during this period.
