We're looking for a dedicated In Custody Facilitator to join our team - someone with a rare mix of compassion, resilience, organisation and flexibility. This is for the person who understands that rehabilitation isn't just about offering advice; it's about rolling up your sleeves and pro-actively supporting someone on their journey.
About the Role:
- You will work within the prison delivering courses to groups of participants to support them on their journey towards release, designed to be short, sharp and impactful.
- You will work with Support Workers and Peer Mentors to deliver a comprehensive support package during their sentence recall.
- As a key member of this dedicated team, you'll help individuals overcome barriers, build confidence, and take meaningful steps toward rehabilitation.
This is a demanding yet deeply rewarding role. You'll be working in a challenging environment with individuals who have complex needs and may be hesitant to engage. However, when you help someone break the cycle and take real steps toward transforming their life, the impact is truly life-changing for them and for you.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Group Facilitation: Delivering sessions to groups of participants on a variety of topics such as goal setting, social interaction and positive decision making.
- Relationship Building: Foster genuine, trusting, and non-judgemental relationships with participants, creating a safe space for personal growth.
- 121 Support: Working 121 with participants setting and reviewing goals while ensuring accurate and timely recording.
- Caseload management: Managing multiple individuals, balancing their needs while keeping up with all the related admin.
- Quality Recording: Keeping thorough, up-to-date records of all your work on our IT system, ensuring progress is properly tracked.
What We are Looking For:
- Training/Facilitation experience: Ability and confidence to deliver engaging sessions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to engage, motivate, persuade, and listen, building strong connections with those you support.
- Safeguarding awareness: Ability to identify any safeguarding risks while supporting complex individuals.
- IT and Administrative skills: Keeping meticulous records of every interaction to measure client progress and ensure effective interventions.
