We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator welder to join a well-established manufacturer in Droitwich.
As a fabricator welder, you will be working with heavy material with up to 20mm gauge. Therefore for this position you must have worked with heavy steel previously with structural or plant work, ideally with 1.2 mm wire.
Contract and Benefits:
- Temp - Perm contract - with full time contract offered after successful completion of 3 month probation
- Monday - Friday role
- Weekday and weekend overtime available
- Working hours 40 - Mon-Fri 0730 - 1600

Core responsibilities:
- Operating Equipment: Set up, maintain, and operate MIG welding machines and hand tools to create or repair metal structures.
- Reading Drawings: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to determine specifications and layout.
- Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, fit, and weld various materials typically mild steel, stainless steel, or aluminium into finished products.
- Quality Control: Inspect welds for strength, quality, and accuracy, ensuring they meet industry standards and project tolerances.
- Safety & Maintenance: Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols (PPE), and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Finishing: Use grinders and power tools to smooth, polish, or finish welded parts.
Key Skills required:
- Proven experience working with heavy material
- Ideally have worked with 1.2 welding wire
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings to a good level
- Willing to travel on rare occasions to client site for installs and maintenance
- Keen eye and hands on attitude
- Ideally come from a plant, commercial vehicle or structural background
