Our client is six organisations within the group, all of which are agricultural businesses.

As they navigate a period of change in their finance department, they are seeking an experienced and resilient individual to manage their weekly payroll for approximately 100 staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with comprehensive payroll experience, who is eager to make a significant impact in a hands-on role.

What the Payroll job involves
Youll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the weekly payroll.

Processing weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees.

Working with manual timesheets received.

Manual processing of all deductions including PAYE, NI, Pension, holidays, overtime, SSP, MSP etc.

Uploading data onto Quick Books for payment, generating and distributing payslips.

Setting up starters and leavers.

Dealing with any payroll queries.

Processing P45s, P60s etc.

Making pension contributions.

Producing reports for HMRC.

This is a varied and fast-paced role that would suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of operations, managing multiple priorities, and providing essential payroll support.

Skills required
Extensive payroll experience.

The ability to perform manual payroll calculations accurately.

Resilience and the ability to thrive in a busy environment.

Comfortable working with manual, paper-based systems whilst they review their systems and process.

Familiarity with Quick Books is desirable for future integration.

Self Managed with a proactive approach.

This role would also suit an experienced payroll professional seeking a challenging temporary position where they can make a tangible difference.

Other information
1 to 2 days per week, with Tuesday being essential for payroll processing.

Flexible on other days and potential for shorter days.

Own transport is essential due to the location.

Dog friendly office with 1 or 2 on site daily.
