About the Role
Gapp Search is currently seekingexperienced Gold Card Electricians and Improvers with proven expericence of Solar Instralltions on large develepments to join a major residential project in Kent. We are working on befalf of a leading solar contractor currently managing a large-scale rollouts across Kent. You will be responsible for the professional installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems on new-build residential units, ensuring all work meets the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Execute electrical wiring plans for solar PV installations, including DC-to-AC inverter integration.
Install, test, and commission electrical circuits and solar components in compliance with MCS and current safety regulations.
Troubleshoot system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
Work effectively on active construction sites, collaborating with other trades to meet project timelines.
Read and interpret technical blueprints and wiring diagrams to guide installation and grid-tie connections.
Maintain rigorous safety standards, including the use of PPE and adherence to site-specific health and safety protocols.
Requirements
Essential: Valid ECS Gold Card (Installation/Approved Electrician).
Essential: Proven experience in Solar PV installations and grid-tied systems.
Strong knowledge of current electrical safety regulations and building codes.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, specifically regarding electrical testing and diagnostics.
Reliable, professional, and capable of representing Gapp Search on-site.
