We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Finance Manager to lead financial management, reporting and control activities, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial information and supporting business performance through commercial insight and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance, payroll oversight and business partnering with operational leaders to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

The ideal applicant will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven finance management experience, strong analytical and commercial skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while building effective relationships across the business.

Duties and responsibilities of the Finance Manager:

  • Produce monthly management accounts, P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and Board reporting.
  • Analyse financial performance, identify trends and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational performance.
  • Prepare divisional reporting packs and support Business Unit performance reviews.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring accurate financial records and robust internal controls.
  • Support finance teams with technical accounting matters and drive improvements to financial systems, processes and reporting.
  • Lead annual budgets, forecasts and reforecasts in partnership with operational managers.
  • Monitor performance against budget, highlighting risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate year-end reporting, statutory accounts, VAT returns and tax support.
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation and company policies.
  • Oversee monthly payroll and pension administration.
  • Partner with operational managers, providing financial insight, commercial support and contributing to business improvement projects.
  • Comply with company QHSE policies and promote a culture of health & safety, environmental responsibility and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications and requirement for the Finance Manager:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum of five years' Finance Manager experience.
  • Strong management accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Commercially aware with excellent analytical, problem-solving and financial control skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline desirable.
  • Drivers Licence.
