About us

At DFS Group, we're proud to help people create spaces they love to live in. We're home to DFS, Sofology, and The Sofa Delivery Company: three brands with their own personalities, brought together by a shared mission. Behind our brands is a passionate Group team. From Finance and Technology to People, Marketing and Supply Chain, our Group functions power everything we do. They create the foundations that allow our brands to thrive, innovate and grow. Whether you're supporting our brands or serving our customers, the mindset that connects us means we expect more of ourselves and each other. It means every customer is our favourite, every voice is valued, and every interaction is one we're proud of. When you're part of a community that shares your way of thinking, the wins feel bigger. The effort feels worth it. It's a place where people stay because they feel valued, and find room to grow because they're challenged.

About the role

As our Group Organic Social Executive, you'll bring our best-in-class social and content strategy to life by creating engaging, always-on content that builds brand relevance, grows our communities, and supports the commercial goals of both DFS and Sofology. You'll live and breathe social media, with a deep understanding of platforms, trends, content formats and online communities. As both a creator and curator, you'll confidently produce high-quality content while proactively sourcing stories and assets from our stores, studios, photo shoots and teams across the business. Combining creativity with technical expertise, you'll know not only what content to create, but why it matters, when it should be published, and how to optimise performance using data, audience insights and platform best practice. You'll be passionate about spotting emerging trends, testing new ideas and continuously evolving our social presence to keep both brands relevant, engaging and ahead of the curve.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Creating engaging social content
  • Creating and publishing engaging organic social content across the DFS and Sofology social channels.
  • Capturing authentic content from our stores, product launches, events, photoshoots and studios to keep our channels fresh, relevant and inspiring.
  • Getting involved in content shoots and travelling to locations when needed to create social-first content.
  • Working with our PR, Influencer Marketing and Content teams to source, adapt and repurpose content across both brands.
  • Bringing campaigns, product launches and key trading moments to life through compelling social storytelling that reflects each brand's personality.
  • Collaborating with teams across Marketing, Digital, CRM, Media and Product Development to deliver joined-up campaigns and consistent messaging.
  • Growing and optimising our social channels
  • Managing the day-to-day publishing of content across our social platforms.
  • Monitoring content performance and using insights to continually improve engagement and reach.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest social trends, platform updates and content formats, bringing new ideas to the team.
  • Testing different creative approaches to understand what resonates most with our audiences.
  • Using Sprout Social to schedule content, monitor performance and report on results.
  • Working with our Digital and Web teams to ensure our product catalogue is accurately represented across our social channels.
  • Building our online communities
  • Supporting the day-to-day management of our social communities by responding to comments and encouraging meaningful conversations.
  • Working closely with our Customer Service team to ensure customer queries are handled quickly, consistently and in line with each brand's tone of voice.
  • Helping to build positive brand sentiment by creating engaging interactions and identifying opportunities to connect with our audiences.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Strong hands-on content creation skills (filming on a mobile device, editing, writing, publishing)
  • Deep understanding of major social platforms and their formats; particularly Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest (and future emerging channels for the brands)
  • Confident using social analytics tools and native platform insights; including Sprout Social, Meta Business Manager, Pinterest Analytics, GA4
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple brands, deadlines and priorities
  • Commercial mindset understanding how social supports brand, marketing and performance goals
  • Basic photography, video editing or motion skills (e.g. CapCut, Adobe, Canva)

Don't let it discourage you if you don't have all of this experience, it's a guideline that will help you hit the ground running. If the role sounds like it would be a great fit for you and you're confident that it suits you, we'd love you to apply.
