We are looking to recruit an experienced Design Engineer for a permanent position based with our client in West Yorkshire
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience within the Air Handling Unit (AHU) manufacturing industry to play a key role in the design, quotation, procurement and project coordination of bespoke AHU systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing AHU projects from initial enquiry through to manufacture, whilst supporting procurement activities and producing technical CAD drawings.

Immediate start available (subject to interview process)
Salary circa is £36,000 to £38,000 per annum (depending in experience)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare quotations and cost estimates for bespoke Air Handling Unit (AHU) projects.

Produce accurate CAD drawings for manufacture.

Manage AHU orders from initial enquiry through to completion.

Liaise with customers, suppliers and the production team throughout each project.

Procure day-to-day stock items including sheet metal and manufacturing consumables.

Raise purchase orders for larger components such as: Fans
Coils
Recuperators

Ensure all technical drawings and documentation are accurate and up to date.

Monitor project progress to ensure customer deadlines are achieved.

Provide general administrative support to the engineering and projects team.

Work closely with production to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.

Candidate Requirements
Previous experience within the Air Handling Unit (AHU) manufacturing industry is essential.

Experience preparing quotations and cost estimates.

Proficient in CAD software and producing manufacturing drawings.

Strong understanding of AHU construction and associated components.

Experience managing projects from quotation through to manufacture.

Knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Positive, proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
