On behalf of Rolls-Royce, who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs, w e are looking for a number of Senior Buyers for a 12 month contract based in Derby .

Please note this is a hybrid position in which you would be based at the clients Derby facility 3 days per week and working remotely 2 days per week.

Purpose of the Senior Buyer role: Manage a portfolio of complex commercial contracts and strategic supplier relationships within the aerospace aftermarket and engineering sector.

Lead contract governance, renewals, negotiations, and dispute resolution to ensure commercial value, compliance, and supply continuity.

Support the aftermarket business by working closely with global suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive effective contract and supplier performance management.

What you'll do: Manage and administer a portfolio of complex repair and supplier contracts across multiple civil aerospace engine programmes.

Lead contract drafting, negotiation, renewal, and management activities, ensuring robust commercial terms and governance.

Interpret contractual clauses, resolve commercial disputes, and manage non-standard commercial scenarios while minimising legal escalation.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships with key partners.

Oversee Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) and Framework Agreements.

Review and approve contract-related charge changes, repair schemes, and intellectual property considerations.

Support sourcing and procurement activities, including supplier performance management, cost reduction initiatives, and commercial risk mitigation.

Utilise SAP for service setup, invoicing, purchase order management, subcontracting activities, and invoice resolution.

The skills you'll need: Proven experience as a Buyer, Commercial Manager, Contract Manager, or Procurement professional within aerospace, defence, nuclear, oil & gas, or another highly regulated engineering environment.

Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience managing complex contracts and supplier relationships.

Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and renewing commercial agreements.

Knowledge of contract governance, commercial risk management, and dispute resolution.

Understanding of intellectual property considerations within supplier and repair contracts.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence both internal and external partners.

Experience working with SAP and advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is advantageous.

A proactive, collaborative approach with a willingness to learn and drive continuous improvement.
