We are a market-leading specialist in special purpose vehicles, and we are looking for an experienced Mobile Service Technician to join our growing team. About the Role
As a Mobile Service Technician, you will be responsible for travelling to customer locations to perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on specialist vehicles and equipment. Acting as the face of our service team, the Mobile Service Technician will ensure every customer receives a professional, efficient, and high-quality experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer sites as a Mobile Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair special purpose vehicles
- Carry out mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
- Manage your own daily workload and maintain clear communication with the Service Team
- Complete all service sheets, job cards, and documentation accurately as part of the Mobile Service Technician role
- Promote parts and additional services where appropriate
- Maintain a professional image at all times, including the cleanliness and presentation of the company van
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified mechanic (HGV, plant, forklift, military engineering, or automotive background)
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, diagnostics, and fault-finding
- Experience working with special purpose vehicles, mobile plant, or forklifts is highly beneficial
- Excellent customer service skills essential for a Mobile Service Technician
- Knowledge of diesel and electric engine systems
- Reasonably clean driving licence required
- Willingness to travel frequently as part of the field-based nature of the Mobile Service Technician position
