Swift Temps are working with our North Wales client, seeking an ambitious, experienced Operations person to take ownership of production, procurement, compliance, and site delivery. A hands-on role, if you are someone who understands manufacturing, not a desk-only role.

Job Role

  • Drive continuous improvement, including 5S implementation and maintenance
  • Identify and remove waste and inefficiency in production workflows
  • Program manufacturing machines using relevant software
  • Maximise material yield and minimise wastage
  • Track WIP
  • Ensure all stock is booked in/out
  • Accuracy of stock reporting
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Lead ISO accreditation audits
  • Maintain accurate audit ready compliance files
  • Own H & S across site
  • Produce RAMS
  • Identify and close out site H & S
  • Source materials, consumables and components
  • Negotiate with clients
  • Maintain strong relationships
  • Apply manufacturing knowledge to specify the right materials and processes for cost-effective production
  • Arrange and coordinate installs, scheduling fitters and providing full project details
  • Attend site personally where needed

Looking for:

  • Proven experience in manufacturing, ideally with hands on machine programming experience.
  • Proven experience in procurement, track record of negotiating strong pricing with suppliers.
  • Experience of ISO accreditation and audits.
  • Working knowledge of RAMS.
  • Experience implementing 5S or similar continuous improvement methods.
  • Ambitious and driven.
  • Play an active role alongside the rest of the leadership team, in protecting and growing gross profit across the business.
