Salary: £34,000-£37,000 Location: Hull/Hybrid 3 days a week in the office Role Overview As an Implementation Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of data and delivery.
The majority of your role is hands-on data work, including extracting, cleansing, mapping, and migrating customer data into our platforms.
This is complemented by configuring solutions, running training sessions, and guiding customers to a confident, well-supported go-live.
Key Responsibilities Data Manipulation & Migration ( 60%) Extract, cleanse, transform, and validate customer data from legacy systems, spreadsheets, and third-party exports ready for migration.
Write and maintain SQL scripts and ETL routines to map source data fields to Asolvi's platform schemas.
Perform data quality checks, deduplication, and reconciliation to ensure migrated records match source counts and business rules.
Build and refine reusable data migration templates and scripts to speed up future onboarding projects.
Investigate and resolve data discrepancies raised during UAT, working directly in the database and back end to correct records.
Document data mapping decisions, transformation logic, and known exceptions for audit and handover.
Implementation & Training ( 40%) Configure platform settings, workflows, and integrations to match each customers agreed solution design.
Deliver end-user and administrator training sessions (remote and on-site), tailored to each customers processes.
Support go-live and hypercare, troubleshooting issues and ensuring a smooth handover to Support.
Produce clear configuration and training documentation, and contribute to internal implementation playbooks.
Skills & Qualifications Data Manipulation Strong SQL skills, comfortable writing and troubleshooting queries against relational databases.
Practical experience with data cleansing, transformation, deduplication, and validation techniques.
Confidence with Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables) for large-scale data preparation and reconciliation.
Exposure to ETL tools or scripting (e. g.
Python, Power Shell) for repeatable data manipulation is an advantage.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to spot inconsistencies and anomalies in large datasets.
Methodical, detail-oriented approach to handling large volumes of sensitive customer data.
Implementation & Training Ability to translate customer requirements into system configuration.
Confident, engaging trainer able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Organised, able to manage multiple implementation projects and timelines concurrently.
