Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5T Home Delivery Drivers for a well-known client of ours, based in Faverdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for a 7.5T Home Delivery Driver to join a multi-national organisation, offering long-term work with the potential for growth and career development.
This role involves working alongside a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering includes TVs, flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods and other bulky household items. Due to the weight of the products you will be delivering, you must be physically fit and capable of carrying heavy items safely.
The company offers customers a 'room of choice' delivery service, and all 7.5T Home Delivery Drivers will receive full training on how to carry out these deliveries safely and professionally. Upon successful application, all new 7.5T Home Delivery Drivers are required to complete a driving assessment and a multiple-choice Highway Code/Tachograph exam. This will be followed by a mandatory induction day.
The company operates seven days a week, and you will be offered a 5 or 6-day rota. Weekend work is required, so please only apply if you are available to work weekends as well as weekdays. Shift start times are 06:00, with shifts typically lasting between 8 and 10 hours.
Pay Rates:
- £17.15 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
- Overtime paid at £22.19 per hour
Our client is happy to accept newly qualified 7.5T Home Delivery Drivers, making this an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience. Please note that drug tests may be carried out at any time at the client's discretion. A drug test will also be completed during the assessment process.
To be considered for this 7.5T Home Delivery Driver role, you must hold:
- A valid UK driving licence
- A valid CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph (Digital Tacho) card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DD, DR or IN convictions
The ideal candidate will be:
- Reliable and organised
- A good communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy goods safely
- In possession of their own steel toe cap safety boots and a high-visibility vest
