Join the team at a truly unique and historic venue: The Tan Hill Inn. We are looking for dedicated Housekeepers to be part of something special.

The Tan Hill Inn, famously the highest pub in Britain, is nestled in the stunning Swaledale landscape. A popular spot with walkers, cyclists, and visitors from all over the world, it's a lively and unforgettable place to work.

What we need from you as a Housekeeper:

  • No experience needed; full training provided
  • You must live within a 30-mile radius of DL11 6ED
  • You can work independently, whilst maintaining a high level of performance
  • Have great customer service skills, professional, friendly, polite, etc.
  • Be organised and possess good time management skills
  • Possess good attention to detail
  • Be used to working quickly without compromising on quality
  • Driving Licence is essential due to the location

What the roles involve:

  • You will perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, changing bedding, and cleaning bathrooms in accommodation rooms/apartments.
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
  • Cleaning all pub communal areas
  • Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
  • Notify Managers of any damages, deficits, and disturbances
  • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace them where appropriate
  • Adhere strictly to rules regarding Health & Safety and be aware of any company-related practices

Salary: Starting at £13.50 per hour, with future review.

Hours of work: 20-40 hours per week. Working part-time or full-time. Core hours are 9am-4pm, shifts available 7 days a week. Days/hours to be negotiated and weekend work will also be required.
