Booth Welsh has a requirement for Instrument and Control Technician's to help a client based in the chemical Industry.
We are looking for contractors who are interested in working onshore in a heavy engineering environment.
The work will entail carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance, including functional testing of safety systems and fault finding to resolve and eliminate equipment problems and malfunctions.
The ideal candidate should be able to follow work cards with technical information covering instrumentation defects, calibrations, fault finding on an operational plant.
He or she will should also able to work under safety documentation following the site safety rules.
Experience and qualification required/preferred
Recognised relevant engineering apprenticeship / equivalent National Vocational Qualification / equivalent experience.
A sound working knowledge of: ATEX and the associated BS EN standards associated with the safe installation of equipment.
Ensure the work completed is fully and accurately documented in the site wide Maintenance Management System.
Ideally will have a 3 years experience, served a C&I apprenticeship covering instrumentation and control.
