Our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department is seeking a fluent French Language Assistant for a fixed term maternity cover to inspire confidence and develop pupils' spoken French. We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a French Language Assistant to join Wellington College, a dynamic and ambitious community where collaboration, curiosity and excellence are championed across both academic and co-curricular life. Set within a 400 acre campus in Crowthorne, Berkshire, the College offers a distinctive and inspiring environment for staff and pupils alike.

This role sits within the Modern Languages department and plays an important part in supporting pupils to develop their spoken French. Working closely with teachers, you will contribute to a vibrant language learning environment by leading conversational practice, supporting small group sessions and encouraging pupils to engage confidently with the language. Your presence will help bring French to life, enriching pupils' understanding of both language and culture.

Alongside direct pupil interaction, you will contribute to the wider work of the department, assisting with resources and supporting the delivery of lessons where appropriate. The role would suit a fluent French speaker who enjoys working with young people and is keen to be part of a busy and collaborative school environment. You will bring enthusiasm, cultural insight and strong communication skills, enabling pupils of all abilities to feel supported and inspired in their learning.
