An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, industry-leading manufacturing business renowned for its operational excellence and commitment to continuous improvement.

This position is ideally suited to a highly skilled engineer looking to take on additional responsibility, providing technical leadership and support to the engineering function while remaining hands-on with maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, leading fault-finding activities, supporting planned preventative maintenance programmes, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across site equipment and processes. You will also play a key role in mentoring engineers, sharing best practice, and assisting with the development of the wider engineering team.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:
  • Proven multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable experience leading maintenance activities within a fast-paced production setting.
  • Strong background in reactive, preventative, and breakdown maintenance.
Essential Requirements:
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities.
  • Recognised engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and support to engineering colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Senior Engineer within the UK.
  • Experience working with PLC systems, with the ability to fault-find using inputs and outputs.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and reliability initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
