A well-established manufacturing business is looking to strengthen its engineering team with the addition of two Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineers. This is a permanent opportunity offering a unique Monday to Thursday shift pattern, rotating weekly between days and nights, alongside a competitive salary and the opportunity to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment supporting a wide range of automated production equipment.

Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Thursday
  • Rotating weekly:
    • Days: 6:00am - 6:00pm
    • Nights: 6:00pm - 6:00am
  • Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday off

The Role

As part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Electrical fault finding and breakdown response
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Diagnosing faults on production and packaging machinery
  • Working with PLC-controlled equipment
  • Maintaining drives, motors, contactors, relays and control systems
  • Supporting mechanical repairs where required
  • Minimising downtime and improving equipment reliability

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  • Electrically biased maintenance background
  • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or production environments
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • Experience with:
    • PLC fault finding
    • Inverters and drives
    • Motors and motor control systems
    • Contactors and relays
    • Sensors and control circuits
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
