A world-leading industrial gases and engineering company require a Production Operative at their top tier COMAH site in Crawley. You will be working within a highly trained team responsible for the identification, inspection, and movement of pressurized cylinders.
Key responsibilities include:
- You will be part of the Special Products production team where your contribution will be pivotal in the process of producing filled cylinders which are used in most British industries including health care.
- You will be fully trained for the processing of cylinders, as such you will be required to undertake a range of different tasks which may involve laminating certificates, capping cylinders, labelling products, shrink-wrapping valves and other similar non-technical operational duties.
- Adhere to strict Health and Safety rules and regulations ensuring the workplace is in an orderly fashion complying with all safety requirements.
- All products are prepared and filled to high quality standards and hence they are looking for someone who is passionate about the quality of their work.
- Safety is paramount as you will be working with highly flammable materials on a day-to-day basis. PPE is provided. Specific safety training in addition to job task training will also be provided.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of working in a relevant engineering or stores environment an advantage.
- Must have the ability to be part of a team and to work to deadlines.
- High level of safety awareness and personal commitment is required.
- IT literate with good Excel skills (as spreadsheets will be completed daily).
- You must have a high level of personal integrity.
