A leading plastics manufacturing business, providing a range of specialist engineering services, is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Technician / Shift Manager to join their team.

Monday - Thursday | 10-hour shifts

Salary dependent on experience

As the senior member of staff on site during the shift, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Moulding Division, overseeing people, production, problem-solving and process efficiency. The role will also involve hands-on Injection Moulding Technician duties, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently throughout the shift.

As an Injection Moulding Technician / Shift Manager, your duties will include:

  • Management of the mouldshop and packaging/assembly teams
  • Setting up production runs to works orders across all moulding machines, ensuring the agreed production schedule is achieved with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and a 'right first time' approach
  • Tool changing and setting mould tools in machines
  • Conducting tool trials, process optimisation and effective fault finding / troubleshooting
  • Monitoring production quality and identifying and reporting any quality concerns at the earliest opportunity
  • Supporting and developing team members to maintain high standards of performance, quality and efficiency

To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Technician / Shift Manager, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have extensive knowledge and experience of plastic injection moulding, including processing, machinery, materials, troubleshooting and process improvement
  • Have proven experience leading or supervising a team within a manufacturing environment
  • Have a hands-on approach with the ability to take ownership of production issues and drive solutions
  • Be quality-focused, organised and able to work effectively under pressure
