Group Accounts Manager to manage the day-to-day accounts for several related companies, this role requires someone with Freight Industry sector experience and indepth knowledge in Group Accounting and multi currencies knowledge.
The successful candidate must be highly experienced with Xero and confident handling multi-company accounts, intercompany transactions, reconciliations and month-end reporting.
Main duties
Managing multiple Xero organisations
Bank, supplier and customer reconciliations
VAT returns
Intercompany invoicing and reconciliations
Accruals, prepayments and journals
Preparing monthly management accounts
Credit control and supplier payments
Supporting payroll and year-end accounts
Improving accounting procedures and controls
Requirements
Strong practical experience using Xero
Previous experience managing accounts for multiple companies with multiple currencies
Good knowledge of VAT and month-end accounting
Strong Excel skills
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
AAT qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
