In this role, the successful CNC Turner/Programmer or similar will be responsible for:
- Coding and editing CNC programs alongside testing new programs
- Setting, operating, troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machinery
- Programming measuring machinery
- Supporting junior engineers with programming applications where applicable
- Assisting in finding ways to improve the production machinery
- Keeping accurate technical documentation of any projects worked
The ideal CNC Turner/Programmer will come from a background within the manufacturing industry, specifically, the high accuracy, precision engineering sector or a related field. In addition, you will also have prior practical experience programming CNC machinery. You will have the ability to read and understand CAD drawings, ideally, but not essentially, with prior experience using SolidWorks or a similar software. You will ideally have a working knowledge of a variety of metals, mainly working with titanium. Finally, you will have strong organisational, communicational and analytical skills, with the ability to work well both as part of a team and autonomously.
