A respected, independently owned Environmental and Engineering Consultancy is seeking a skilled CQA Inspector to support landfill engineering projects across the UK - primarily between the Midlands and Bristol. This site-based role involves supervising landfill cell construction, capping works, and ensuring compliance with Environment Agency standards. The role is largely autonomous but supported by a team of Project Managers, a CQA Manager and a Line Manager. You\'ll join a nationally recognised consultancy known for technical excellence, sustainability leadership, and a collaborative culture. With strong support from project and CQA managers, you\'ll be part of a team delivering high-impact environmental solutions across major infrastructure and remediation schemes. CQA Inspector Job Overview Oversee and inspect landfill infrastructure construction including clay liner installation, geosynthetics, capping works, leachate/gas systems, and retro drilling. Supervise works in accordance with Environment Agency (EA) guidance and CQA plans. Approve materials and monitor quality and compliance throughout the construction lifecycle. Maintain accurate records, assist with validation reporting, and ensure all documentation meets regulatory and project requirements. Act as the main point of contact onsite, liaising with contractors, engineers, clients, and regulatory stakeholders. Identify risks during construction phases and provide proactive solutions to ensure the integrity of engineering works. Support CQA Engineers and Project Managers to maintain consistent standards. Prepare factual and interpretive CQA reports. Represent the business with professionalism and uphold its values of determination, responsiveness, accountability, integration, and genuineness. CQA Inspector Job Requirements Minimum 2 years\' experience in CQA supervision on landfill or environmental infrastructure projects. Good knowledge of geosynthetics, liners, drainage layers and gas/leachate systems. Strong report writing and communication skills. Full UK driving licence (essential).
