Hays Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEN provision to recruit a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher on a permanent basis.This rewarding opportunity would suit a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and creating a positive, engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a tailored curriculum using a semiformal approach where appropriate, adapting lessons to meet the individual needs of learners and supporting their academic, social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
Use semiformal teaching approaches to support individual learning needs
Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
Work collaboratively with support staff, families and external professionals
Contribute to EHCP targets and reviews
Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
A background in Primary or Early Years education would be advantageous
Strong planning and differentiation skills
A nurturing and child-centred approach
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
