Alexander Steele are working with an established bakery and confectionery manufacturing business to recruit a Quality Manager for their site.

The ideal candidate has worked within food manufacturing business within a senior Quality or Technical position.

Responsibilities: Install, develop, administer and audit the Total Quality Management System across the site, ensuring it is reviewed regularly and updated accordingly.

Manage the site Quality Team, ensuring individuals have clear objectives, yearly performance reviews, and 6-monthly 1-1s.

Work closely with the Bakery Management team to ensure all Food Safety, Quality and Legal requirements are controlled and met.

Act as HACCP Team Leader, ensuring HACCP meetings take place and are used to complete HACCP studies, and administer and control the installation of all HACCP procedures and training.

Ensure all HACCP, Total Quality Requirements, Risk Assessments, Verification and Validation systems are in place for all products and processes.

Advise manufacturing departments on technical/quality aspects including food safety and quality legislation, weight management procedures, product protection and pest control, organoleptic requirements, hygienic design and sanitation systems.

Audit and monitor all Supplier SAQ's and Supplier performance, including rating and closing out all issues in a timely manner.

Deliver a Continuous Quality & Food Safety Improvement programme through the development and implementation of improvement techniques on site.

On offer: Annual Salary of £48,000 - £50,000. Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday, 7am - 4pm (40 hours per week). 28 days AL (incl of BH)
