We are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Management Accountant to join a well-established organisation based in Coventry on a 6-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who can quickly integrate into an existing finance team and provide immediate support across management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering activities.
The successful candidate must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and available to start immediately or at short notice.
Key Responsibilities- Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
- Prepare month-end journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing meaningful financial insights.
- Analyse financial performance and investigate variances against budget and prior periods.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to support decision-making and improve financial performance.
- Deliver financial reporting packs and KPI analysis for senior management.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital reporting.
- Ensure financial controls and procedures are maintained and adhered to.
- Support year-end audit requirements and provide information to external auditors.
- Identify and drive process improvements within the finance function.
- Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and project work as required.
Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant role within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong month-end and management reporting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
- Immediately available or available at very short notice.
- Able to commit to the full 6-month contract.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within large or complex organisations.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or NetSuite.
- Previous experience in a business partnering capacity.
